Maastricht is a municipality, and capital of the province of Limburg. The city is situated on both sides of the Meuse river in the south-eastern part of the Netherlands between Belgium and Germany.
Maastricht is one of the most delightful cities in Holland, quite different from the waterland centres of the north and firmly in the heart of Europe. A cosmopolitan place, where three languages and currencies happily coexist, it's also one of the oldest towns in the country.
