Peru

Peru is located in western South America. It is bordered on the north by Ecuador and Colombia, on the east by Brazil, on the southeast by Bolivia, on the south by Chile, and on the west by the Pacific Ocean.

Peru offers a broad variety of travel experiences including the Amazon Rainforest, Andes Mountains and Machu Picchu. A city tour of Lima can be a good way to learn about Peruvian history.

Most Peruvian cities, in addition to maintaining an indigenous presence, still show the influence of their Spanish occupation. Beautiful colonial churches, buildings and homes from the days of Spanish rule, and each city, it seems, has its own Plaza de Armas, or main square.
