St Helena, United Kingdom

St. Helena lies in the South Atlantic Ocean and consists of three island groups: Saint Helena itself, Ascension Island and Tristan da Cunha. It is over 2000 km’s to the nearest mainland in West Africa. Most of the coastline consists of high cliffs with only one anchorage point at the capital, Jamestown.

St Helena is small yet has some beautiful scenery. It is an island of contrasts, from wind eroded desert with multi coloured ridges and valleys, to emerald hillsides, soft pastures and lush vegetation filled valleys. Tourism is based mainly around Napoleon’s imprisonment in 1815 and sportfishing
