Odessa is the fourth largest city in Ukraine. The city is a major seaport on the Black Sea, the largest port in Ukraine. It is situated on terraced hills overlooking a small harbor, approximately 31 km north of the estuary of the Dniester river and south of the Ukrainian capital Kiev.

From the seafront, it is 192 monumental Potemkin Steps to bustling Primorsky Boulevard, where there are museums, shops, and delightful open-air cafes with views of the Gulf of Odessa. Odessa also boasts excellent city beaches and features a well preserved old town area.
