Gudvangen is a village in Aurland municipality in Sogn og Fjordane county, Norway. It is located in inner Nærøyfjord, and is a popular tourist destination and base for touring the Sogn area’s many attractions.
Attractions in the area include the Nærøyfjord, Geirangerfjord and the Flåmline train (one of the world’s most special railroads), and the Jostedalsbreen glacier.

Transport Links – Destination Aurland-Flåm-Lærdal is easy accessible by bus, boat, train or private car. The area is situated about 330 km from Oslo and 200 km from Bergen.
There are several daily departures on the Bergenline between Oslo and Bergen all year. All trains on the Bergenline stop at Myrdal. At Myrdal there is connection with the Flåm Railway to Flåm.
Daily bus departures all year from Bergen, Voss, Oslo, Lillehammer and Sogndal.
In the Summer scheduled buses to the Aurland valley several times a day between Ål, Geilo, Aurland, Flåm and Gudvangen.
The Boat Lykkeper has scheduled trips from Flåm through the Nærøyfjord to Gudvangen in June, July and August.
