Zapotengo is a long, open sea beach about midway between Huatulco and Pochutla.
The beach has fine, white sand with some rocks for exploring. The waves come in big here. It is a walking beach, not a swimming beach. The uniqueness of Zapotengo is that it is a no frills, no commerce beach. Just wilderness and a whole lot of space. This beach should be reserved for when you're feeling up to a drive, some discovery and being open to whatever you find.
