Many People died building the Wall of Tears, Also known as El Muro de las Lágrimas. Often over shadowed by those seeking the wild life it is one of the most historic sites in the Galapagos Islands.
The wall was built over 14 years back in the 1940s and 1950s by prisoners who were sent to Isabela Island.
5 km west of Puerto Villamil on Isabela Island in the Galapagos Islands.
The wall is about 25 m tall and is said to have been the cause of thousands of deaths during its construction.
Locals call it the wall of tears because it is said to emanate eerie cries and have a heavy energy surrounding it
