Kiel-Holtenau, Germany

Kiel Holtenau is a city of Kiel, in north-west of the city. Kiel Holtenau is located at the end of the Kiel Canal at the Kiel Fjord (Baltic Sea) and is known for its large lock for ships and as the site of the Kiel airport. North of Kiel Holtenau is the Olympic port of Kiel-Schilksee.

Holtenau’s landmarks are the canal locks, the Lighthouse and Wharf Tiessen. Another interesting building is the channel-pack house. The Holte Auer High bridges are obvious, but no longer have the charm of the first canal bridge by Frederick Voss.
