Tortuga island is an uninhabited tropical island in Costa Rica with pristine white sand, palm trees and crystal clear blue water. It is a perfect location for swimming, snorkeling and lazing on the beach. It is also offers opportunities for bird watching and hiking.
Tortuga Island can only be reached by tour. Nearly all of the tours headed for the island of Tortuga are based out of San Jose. They include both ends of the two hour trip to Puntarenas
