Pont-Sainte-Maxence is a commune in the Oise department in northern France.

At the heart of the Paris basin, the city of Pont-Sainte-Maxence reveals its charms. Town in the Oise, it takes up to forty kilometers of Beauvais and its famous cathedral, and at fifty kilometers from the French capital, Paris.

Watered by the Oise, Pont-Sainte-Maxence enjoys a pleasant environment in which parks have their place. Officially christened in 1794, this Picardy town is named after a dead martyr in the region. Already present in the Gallo-Roman era, the City is booming in the Middle Ages. Former major industrial center, is now Pont-Sainte-Maxence rather turned towards tourism.

Several historical monuments occupy the territory of the town and give a certain charm to the old center. Castles and old town houses are present everywhere.
