Brest, France

Brest is the second biggest city in Brittany, north-west France. Located on the western tip of Brittany, the city is an important port and naval base. Brest has one of Europe's finest natural harbours and further inland the diverse terrain is an excellent base for activity-based breaks.

Brest is known for its Breton character, beautiful beaches and delicious seafood. The windswept moors are ideal for horse-riding, mountain biking and fishing, as well as land-surfing and kayaking. Brest’s Golf de Brest Iroisem, offers 18 holes of smooth green in the midst of the bumpy Breton landscape.

The canal running from Brest to nearby Nantes allows visitors to see the best of the region either by hired boat, walking or on horseback.
