Calangaman Island, Philippines

Calamangan is a small, white beach island just off the southern coastline of Malapascua island in the Cebu region of The Philippines.

It is one of the famous dive sites among dive centers located in Malapascua. The slope reef walls covered with both soft and hard corals are home to lionfish, eels, nudibranches and scorpion-fish to name but a few of the species found in the sparkling, clean waters here.

The untouched islands of Cebu capture the hearts of both locals and foreign visitors. The pristine white beaches, marine life and people are what many tourists seek out to experience, albeit briefly for a holiday; a clean environment, tranquility, freedom from the hustle and bustle of cities, fantastic fresh food and peacefulness.

Cruising and weather are better in the non monsoon period. Weather in the south east of the Asian region is tropical so it is warm and humid all year round. The Tropics don’t have seasons as such, they have the wet and dry periods. The wet season or monsoon period is from June to September.
