Suwarrow is a low coral atoll in the Cook Islands in the Pacific Islands. Situated 1,300km south of the equator, the island has a rich history that spans from Robert Louis Stevenson through to the islands relevance in World War 2. In 1978 the island was declared to be a National Park of the Cook Islands due to the plentiful marine and bird life it supports, making this a paradise for divers and birdwatchers alike.
