Dark Island a prominent feature of the St. Lawrence Seaway, is located in the lower (eastern) Thousand Islands region, near Chippewa Bay. It is a part of the Town of Hammond, in St. Lawrence County, New York.
Dark Island is best known for “Singer Castle”, which was formerly known as Dark Island Castle. This historic landmark was built between 1888 and 1905 and was later renovated and open to the public in 2003.
