Lamen Bay is located on the northern coast of Epi island, in the Shefa province of Vanuatu. Epi is a serene island with beautiful white sandy coves, many white and some black sand beaches, and inshore reefs. The interior is the rugged terrain of recent volcanic activity covered with lush rainforest.
Lamen Bay has a beautiful 1.5km long black and white sand beach and offers spectacular snorkeling amongst its shallow coral. ‘Bondas’ the friendly Dugong is a major tourist attraction. Visitors can swim with him in the water, although sometimes he may not be seen for 2 or 3 days.
The 2 km canoe ride to Lamen island is also worth doing. The island is small but surrounded by beautiful white sandy beaches.
