Seymour Norte, Ecuador

Seymour Norte is a small island near Baltra Island in the Galpagos Islands. It is the smaller twin to Baltra Island and is a popular destination for Galapagos cruise ships, dive trips and boat tours. The Island is best known for its large colonies of blue-footed boobies and Frigatebirds which nest in the same area.

Visitors to the island can use the two kilometer long visitor trail which crosses the inland of the island and explores the rocky coast.

Port Location - The Port of Baltra is located on South Seymour island. The dock is located in a small bay a short bus ride from the Baltra Island.

Transport Links - Flights to the Galapagos are Relatively easy to arrange and depart from Quito and Guayaquil on a daily basis for the Isla Baltra airport, About two hours by public transport from Puerto Ayora, the main settlement of the Galapagos , on the main island of Santa Cruz. On arriving into Baltra, all visitors are Immediately Transported by bus to one of two docks. The first dock is located in a small bay where the boats cruising Galápagos await the Passengers. The second is a ferry dock Which connects Baltra to the island of Santa Cruz via the Itabaca Channel.
