Kitty Hawk is a town in Dare County, North Carolina, United States. It is part of North Carolina’s Outer Banks. Kitty Hawk became famous after the Wright brothers of Dayton, Ohio, made the first controlled powered airplane flights at the Kill Devil Hills, four miles (6 km) south of the town, on December 17, 1903.
Kitty Hawk has a lot to offer its visitors. The Wright Brothers National Memorial is worth a visit and there are many outdoor activities to do such as kayaking, parasailing, boating, mini golf, golf, fishing, surfing and surfing lessons.
