The Republic of Guinea Bissau is a country in West Africa. It is bordered by Senegal to the north, and Guinea to the south and east, with the Atlantic Ocean to its west. The capital is the city of Bissau.
Attractions in Bissau include the Presidential Palace, bissau Velho - the old Portuguese colonial centre, the Porto Pidjiguiti, the Mercado de Bandim and the Fortaleza d'Amura.
The Republic of Guinea Bissau includes also the beautiful Bijagos Islands, an archipelago of some twenty tropical islands. It is possible to see hippos or turtles nesting grounds on some islands.
