Roberton Island is located in the Bay of Islands, an area in the Northland Region of the North Island of New Zealand. Located 60 km north-west of Whangarei, it is close to the northern tip of the country.
Roberton Island is steeped in Maori history, boasting a number of archaeological sites. There are steep coastal cliffs, extensive stands of maritime pines and two glorious lagoons.
