Parai beach is located in the Bangka-Belitung Islands, which is a province of Indonesia. These islands have many beaches and smaller islands with blue sea waters, coral reefs, fine white sand, and giant granite rock formations which attract tourists from around the world.
Parai beach is located on Bangka island. It is a beautiful beach with white sand, flat round rocks and spectacular views of the surrounding seas. On Bangka island you can explore the many lower plains, swamps, small hills, beautiful beaches, white pepper fields and tin mines.

Port Location - The port is located at Mentok on the western side of Bangka island.
Travel Links - Both Pangkal Pinang (Bangka) and Tanjung Pandan (Belitung) are well connected to the rest of Indonesia by air. There are frequent flights to Jakarta and a few to Palembang (Sriwijaya Air) and Batam (Riau Airlines).
There are daily slow overnight ferries (~11 hours) and fast Bahari Express hydrofoils several times a day (~3 hours) from Palembang to Mentok, on the western side of Bangka.
PELNI's giant ferries visit the island about once every two weeks, running either from Jakarta to Bangka and onward to Batam, or from Jakarta to Belitung and across to Pontianak in Sumatra. The Jakarta-Bangka leg takes about 24 hours.
