Bariloche, is a city in the province of Río Negro, Argentina, situated in the foothills of the Andes. Surrounded by lakes and mountains, it is a major international tourist destination, famous for skiing but also known for sight-seeing, water sports, trekking and climbing.
Cerro Catedral lies just 20 kilometers from Bariloche. It offers 600 hectares of ski fields for downhill skiing and snowboarding.

Transport Links – The city is served by San Carlos de Bariloche International Airport equipped to receive any kind of aircraft. Several of Argentina's most important airlines maintain regular flights to Bariloche, as well as some international lines from neighboring countries, especially during the ski season.
The city is linked by train with the city of Viedma through the Tren Patagonico that crosses Argentina from the Andes to the Atlantic Ocean.
