Ivujivik, Quebec

Ivujivik is a northern village (Inuit community) in Nunavik in northern Quebec, Canada. It is the northernmost settlement in Quebec; in fact it is the northernmost settlement in any Canadian province. All settlements farther north are in territories.

The skies in Nunavik are often a backdrop for fabulous displays of Northern lights. These lights can paint rays of green, red and purple across the night sky. The Northern lights can be seen from August to March when the North is blanketed for longs hours in darkness.
