Poilhes is a commune in the Hérault department in Languedoc-Roussillon in southern France. The Canal du Midi flows through the centre of the village, and the long, sandy beaches of the Mediterranean are just 20 minutes away and Haut Languedoc national park is only 30 minutes.
The village has a small shop and a restaurant, and is surrounded by vineyards. The historic village of Capestang is only 4 kms. away and has a supermarket, bank with cash machine, and petrol-station as well as markets every Wednesday and Saturday.
