Spitz an der Donau is a market town in the district of Krems-Land in the Austrian state of Lower Austria, further down from Willendorf on the left bank of the Danube.
Spitz is known for its vineyards and winemakers. In May a walk is held through the vineyards with the winemakers accompanied by musicians. In July the Apricot Fair is held. The people of Spitz show visitors how many delights can be made using apricots. These include marmalade, sparkling wine, brandy, cake and Knödel (balls).
