Farsund is a town and municipality in the county of Vest-Agder, Norway. Its inhabitants are mainly settled around the three towns of Farsund, Vanse and Vestbygda.
Farsund is surrounded by weather-beaten coast lines, soft white sandy beaches, mountainous countryside and large wooded areas. The Lista wetlands include small and large ponds, lakes, marshes and swamps. Inland is the Fram Product Fjord which has attracted international attention as the water is 180meters deep and free of oxygen below 15 meters.
