Twillingate is located on the Twillingate Islands in Notre Dame Bay, off the northeastern shore of the island of Newfoundland in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador. Labeled as "The Iceberg Capital of the World", the town is one of the oldest ports on the island. It was a historic fishing community, but because of the decline of the fishing industry, its economy now relies more on tourism.
A must see for visitors to Twillingate is the Long Point Lighthouse; located in Crow Head on Main Street North. It's just a few minutes away from the town and has a beautiful area for looking out over the ocean to view whales and icebergs.
