Pomio is a township located in the Pomio District on the east coast of East New Britain province, Papua New Guinea. This area is largely underdeveloped compared to the northern Gazelle district, and its inhabitants live a traditional lifestyle. There is very little accommodation or services available for tourists.
Visitors who come to Pomio mainly do so for the excellent trekking available. It is possible to trek or hike from village to village along the coast, or inland to the Nakanai Mountains, even overland to Bialla in West New Britain Province.
