Faraway Bay is situated in the far north-west corner of Western Australia, near the mouth of the King George River, northeast of Kalumburu. The Kalumburu community is the northernmost settlement in Western Australia.
Faraway Bay is a truly remote area of the Kimberley. It offers ancient rock art, archaeological and historical sites, abundant fresh and salt water fishing and an abundance of unique wildlife. Bird watching is excellent here, with over 140 varieties of birds been sighted.
