Tuam island is located in the Siassi group of Islands, situated in Morobe province, Papua New Guinea. Morobe province is known as the gateway to the highlands, boasting majestic mountains, lush rainforests and beautiful marine settings.
Tuam island offers a mix of mainland and Bismark Archipelago cultures. The locals are very hospitable and welcome visitors with music and dance. A number of valued artefacts can be purchased on the island including dog’s teeth, spondyllus shells and wonderful balsa wood and sago bark headdresses.
