Csanytelek is a village in Csongrád county, in the Southern Great Plain region of southern Hungary. The village lies between Csongrád and Szeged. It is one of Hungary's early vegetable and flower growing places. It has a significant fishery due to its fish pond system and the nearness of river Tisza. The village borders Pusztaszer Landscape-protection Area. It possesses a unique avifauna. The so called Strassbourg-stone – a sculpture – symbolizes the village.
