Dundas, Greenland

Dundas village is protected by Denmark and specifically excluded from areas under US Air Force control. In 1963 the area was given official status as Thule, the 17th municipality of Greenland and the northernmost community in the world. Dundas Village, at the base of the mountain Dundas closed down in 1985 and nowadays nobody lives in this settlement. Visitors can still have an opportunity to go ashore and take a walk in the old settlement and see the remains of Knud Rasmussen's old trading post.

Travel Links – Nuuk, the capital of Greenland is easily accessible. There are daily flights from Kangerlussuaq and regular flights to other towns in Greenland. There is also service to Reykjavik airport in the summer. From mid-March through October there are flights from Keflavik International Airport in Iceland. There are also boats schedule to stop in Nuuk from Easter to Christmas.
