Satonda Is. Indonesia

Satonda island is located in Dompu Regency, a regency of Sumbawa and a division of the Indonesian Province of West Nusa Tenggara. Sumbawa is known to some tourists for its great waves and sandy white beaches.

Satonda island is probably more popular for its fruit bats than its diving. The sandy bottom in the sheltered bay offers a great opportunity for some muck diving and the sparse coral patches are home to a large array of critters. These include the extremely rare clown frogfish. the scorpion leaf fish, the ghost pipefish and boxer crab.
