Beqa, Fiji

Beqa island is a beautiful remote Fijian island, located south of the main island of Viti Levu. Beqa is encircled by a huge lagoon and fringing reef, and is one of Fiji's top scuba diving destinations. The water is clear and warm, visibility is typically over 100 feet, currents are generally mild, and the water temperature stays a fairly constant 80 degrees.

As well as scuba diving other activities include shark feed, surfing on the reef near to Yanuca Island, game and sport fishing, kayaking, snorkeling and swimming. Beqa is also a bird watching paradise, with the largest variety of birds in Fiji.

Other attractions include local village excursions, Kava ceremonies, music and ancient warrior dancing, plus the sacred fire walking ceremony.
