Tufi Harbour, Papua New Guinea

Tufi is located on the northern-eastern side of the mainland of Papua New Guinea, and approximately 250 kilometres due east-northeast of the capital, Port Moresby. It lies between Lae and Alotau on the tip of Cape Nelson in Oro Province.

The Tufi area is famous for its fjords which are over 90 metres deep and rise vertically out of the water to over 150 metres. The fjords have clear waters, abundant fish and beautiful corals as well as accessible wrecks and reefs with drop-offs, hammerhead sharks and moray eels.

Although the main attraction is diving, there are plenty of options at Tufi - bushwalking, deep sea fishing, windsurfing, swimming, canoe trips or just lazing on the white sandy beaches.
