Canala is a commune in the North Province of New Caledonia, an overseas territory of France in the Pacific Ocean,1500 km’s east of Australia. It is nestled at the back of a beautiful bay, well-protected from the elements and is accessed either via Thio or La Foa.
Canala has recently commenced the restoration of the La Crouen thermal site. Several tribes have undertaken its restoration in order to encourage tourism and allow the public to benefit from the healing properties of its thermal waters.

Transport Links – New Caledonia Airport is located in Païta, 52km northwest of the capital city of Noumea. Air France provides direct flights from Paris. Regular flights are available from Tokyo on Aircalin, as New Caledonia is very popular with the Japanese. Air New Zealand and Qantas also serve the airport. There are also flights from various Pacific nations, New Zealand, Australia, and Southeast Asia.
