Pomene, Mozambique

Pomene is situated in one of the most picturesque spots in Mozambique. It is remote, with a low population thus assuring pristine and un-spoilt conditions. It is 605km north of Maputo and 170km south of Vilanculos.

Pomene Lodge is situated on a narrow peninsula with the Indian Ocean lapping at its front doorstep and crystal clear waters of a spectacular mangrove estuary lapping on the other, it has the best of both worlds.. From every accommodation site you are no more than one minutes walk from the white beach sand and the warm Indian Ocean. Pomene Lodge is advantageously located in the Pomene Bay offering a sheltered haven for swimming. Here one cannot escape the rhythmic sound of the ocean nor miss seeing perfect sunsets over the estuary. Here too, the flamingoes concentrate in large gaggling groups and brandish the sky with shades of pink throughout the day.
