Yasawa-I-Rara Island, Fiji

Yasawa is the main island of the Yasawa Group, an archipelago located in north-western Fiji. The islands are famous for their beautiful white sandy beaches, lush tropical rainforests and spectacular mountain-top views of the Islands.

Yasawa island has only one resort which offers a variety of activities including picnicking or swimming at one of 14 deserted beaches, sailing a catamaran or sailboard, visiting the local villages, tennis or game fishing. You can also charter a boat to Nanuya Levu where the caves and coves were made famous in the classic movie The Blue Lagoon.

Transport Links – Awesome Adventures Fiji provide the Yasawa Flyer as the primary transport to and through the Yasawa Islands from Nadi. The trip takes about 2 hours.

Another means of travel is Turtle Airways, which offers special rates for budget travelers to the Yasawas. Flights leave for the Yasawas daily, with the journey taking 35 minutes from Nadi.
