Cabo Frio is a Brazilian municipality in Rio de Janeiro state. Cabo Frio has a tropical climate, and is popular with tourists in the summer months. The city is usually visited by people from Minas Gerais, Brasília and Rio de Janeiro city. Recently the city entered in the route of the greatest cruise ships.

Some of the tourist attractions in the city are the Feliciano Sodré bridge, the Nossa Senhora da Guia chapel, the church of São Benedito, located in Passagem neighborhood, the Nossa Senhora da Assunção church and the Municipal Theatre.
