Sawa-I-Lau island is located amidst the crystal blue waters of the Yasawa group of islands, Fiji. It is more commonly known as the Blue Lagoon, with the area made famous by the filming of the movie “The Blue Lagoon”, starring Brooke Shields & Christopher Atkins.
A major attraction on the island is its cave which has several cave chambers with deep pools. A highlight is to swim inside the cave between limestone walls. Beneath the main chamber there are numerous small caves which are visited best by boat. There are also ancient inscriptions and paintings on the cave walls.
