Albany is the capital city of the U.S. state of New York, the seat of Albany County, and the central city of New York's Capital District. Albany is known for its extensive history, culture, architecture, and institutions of higher education.

Albany is an architectural haven, from historic buildings to newly built high rise skyscrapers to churches and temples. Visitors are also welcomed with grand views of the beautiful Hudson River Valley. The New York State Museum and the newly renovated State Capitol building, originally built in the late 1800's are worth a visit.
