Tumaco is a port city and municipality in the Nariño Department, Colombia by the Pacific Ocean. It is located on the southwestern of Colombia, near to the border with Ecuador. It is situated on three islands, all connected by bridge: Tumaco, Viciosa and El Morro. Isla Tumaco is the principle population center.
Tumaco has a hot tropical climate. Its most distinctive feature is its mangroves: Parque Nacional Sanquianga is along the coast north. The clean beaches of Islas El Morro and Bocagrande provide welcomed escapes from the bedlam of Isla Tumaco.
