Port Said (Bur Said) is a city in Egypt, with a unique location on the Mediterranean Sea at the northern entrance of the Suez Canal, facing its twin city, Port Fouad (Bur Fouad). Lying at the junction of Africa & Asia, it is a famous and vital sea route between east & west.

It is a modern city which offers fine weather all year, a long attractive beach extended by the Mediterranean Sea. It is considered a summer resort by Egyptians and the beach is lined with vacation bungalows. The main street, with most commercial enterprises, is Sharia Palestine.

Attractions include the huge ships waiting to enter the Suez Canal, the colonial architecture of the 19th century in the town center, the National Museum and Military Museum.
