Isla Espíritu Santo is an island in the Gulf of California, off the Mexican state of Baja California Sur. It is connected to Isla Partida by a narrow isthmus. The area is protected under UNESCO as a biosphere, and its importance as an eco-tourism destination is the main factor.
Espiritu Santo offers dramatic contrasts in scenery; while the west coast is studded with some of the most spectacular white, sandy bays you can imagine, the east coast has enormous towering cliffs, bizarre rock formations and alluring sea caves.
Activities on the island include snorkeling, swimming with sea lion pups, hiking intriguing volcanic arroyos, swimming, watch huge manta rays surge up out of the water, admire playful dolphins and exploring hidden inland lagoons.
