Bydgoszcz is a city located in northern Poland, on the Brda and Vistula rivers. The city is a junction of railway, water and road routes. Owing to its picturesque location on the Brda River and the historic Bydgoszcz Canal, as well as the Vistula, the city has earned the name of the biggest Polish centre of inland navigation!

Bydgoszcz has a famous Concert Hall (Filharmonia Pomorska), opera house Opera Nova and presents varied architecture which wasn't badly damaged by the World War II. Bydgoszcz is a candidate for the title of European Capital of Culture in 2016. Its main sights include the town walls, the Granaries, the City Hall, the Old Parish Cemetery and Augusta Cieszkowskiego street.

Travel Links – Bydgoszcz Ignacy Jan Paderewski Airport, Operates direct domestic flights to Warsaw and international flights to Antalya, Birmingham, Dublin, Liverpool and London. Due to small number of connections, many tourists coming to the region use to neighboring airports in Poznan (140 kms), Gdansk (160km), or Warsaw (280 kms).

Main bus station is situated in the city centre and provides a number of connections with almost every bigger city of Poland. Bus transport is provided by PKS enterprise.
