Băile Herculane is a town in Romanian Banat, in Caraş-Severin County, situated in the valley of the Cerna River, between the Mehedinţi Mountains to the east and the Cerna Mountains to the west. It is well known as a spa town, popular for its natural healing properties.

Baile Herculane is a spa town where mineral baths have existed since Roman times. The Roman Hotel is Romania's oldest health resort, where the unique composition of its springs are said to have curative and therapeutic properties.
