Westport is a small port town in the West Coast region of the South Island of New Zealand. It is located on the northern bank and at the mouth of the Buller River, close by the prominent headland of Cape Foulwind.

Westport is the largest centre on the northwest coast and is used as a starting point for visits to the Oparara Basin Arches, Cape Foulwind and Buller Gorge.
