The Dessau-Wörlitz Garden Realm, also known as the English Grounds of Wörlitz, is one of the first and largest English parks in Germany and continental Europe. The central Wörlitzer Park lies adjacent to the small town of Wörlitz at a branch of the Elbe river, making it rich in water and diversity. It was laid out between 1769 and 1773.
Guided tours of the museums, the castle and Gothic House are available. Visitors can also take a boat trip on the Worlitz Lake and canals or a gondola ride.
