La Gomera is one of Spain's Canary Islands, located in the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Africa. In area, it is the second-smallest of the seven main islands of this group. It is divided into six municipalities; its capital is San Sebastian.
La Gomera is home to La Garajonay National Park, a world heritage site with extensive forested area on top of the island. It is a great location for hiking and viewing flora and fauna.

Transport Links – The airport near Playa Santiago is served only by local planes from Tenerife Nord and Gran Canaria airports. Most people fly to Tenerife South, then get a ferry from nearby Los Cristianos.
By ferry from Los Cristianos in Tenerife to San Sebastian de la Gomera or directly to Playa Santiago or Valle Gran Rey. Takes about 40 minutes.
