The Chiswell islands are located in the Kenai Fjords National Park, in southcentral Alaska near the town of Seward. The Kenai Fjords National Park is dominated by a 1126 km ice field with hundreds of glaciers. Wildlife in the area includes brown bears fishing in the streams for salmon; kittiwakes and puffins nesting in the cliff sides; and seals patrolling the shoreline.
The Chiswell islands seem to rise up almost straight out of the sea, with no horizontal beaches.
