Vansittart Bay is a beautifully protected large bay with numerous small islands and secluded coves, plenty of fishing opportunities for the anglers on board, a famous historical site of a WW2 allied DC3 aircraft lying forlornly in the scrub on the eastern shore of the bay makes for an interesting excursion.
At the southern end of Vansittart Bay a small bay called Rocky Cove is excellent for rock art particularly Bradshaw Art, these are possibly the oldest known to man and some good birding here also including White-lined Honeyeater.
